Simulation

Simulation based learning is an educational strategy used to replicate real life, clinical scenarios but in a in a controlled environment. It can improve knowledge, enhance skills and build self confidence in health care providers. Learners can learn hands on skills, critical thinking and effective communication skills from clinical simulations.

IPPL has various simulations centers across the zone that uses facilitators trained in simulation education and high fidelity patient simulators, task trainers and realistic scenarios, grounded in educational theory and best practices to assist health care providers in developing clinical skills as well as competencies in communication, decision making and working in an interprofessional team.
